Well…winter’s here in full swing! It hit hard on Saturday and it seems like no one remembers how to drive in the snow. But that’s life in Saskatchewan!! So when you’re out driving – drive carefully. There’s ice under the snow, which adds to the problem of winter driving. But…we’ll certainly have a white Christmas! I’m sure the white “stuff” is here to stay! And…I heard the price of gas is going down! That’s a bonus!!
So…even though we got hit with the snow…here’s something better to think about…

“Do not be anxious…or worried…about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which is beyond all understanding, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
Yesterday as I was getting ready to go to work, Kirsten called and said that she was going to the Mall with the boys. Since I was going to be working at the same Mall, I met them there and had a great time with my little grandsons before I had to go to work! We were in the Mall Playground for awhile, then while Kirsten did some shopping, I took Emmett & Silas down to the Christmas store. We watched the Christmas display they had set up in the window – which really intrigued the boys!! There was an elf “riding” a handmixer in a bowl of “sugar”, another one scooping out some “sugar”, one was hanging upside down from the window, and another one was “sitting and twirling” in an upside down candy cane! It was really done well, lots to look at and fun to watch!
Speaking of Christmas…I have 2 cards to show you today – both from the same stamp set. The one card is a Christmas card…but changing out the sentiment from the same set, it can be made into a Thank You card. There is also another stamp “You’re Invited” that can be used for invitations of any kind. Change out the colours, and the set can be used year round! I love anything that can be used more than once in different ways…a great way to get your money’s worth from a stamp set!!
Both cards are from the new Photopolymer stamp set – Letterpress Winter – in the 2014 Holiday Catalogue (#135143 – Page 21). One great thing about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is that there are lots of ideas for us to choose from! These cards were shown recently in the Stampin’ Success magazine that’s for demonstrators only. Here are all the items I used to make this card…
Next week, Stampin’ Up! has a special promotion on…if you join us as a demonstrator during the week of November 24-December 2, you will receive an extra 5% cash back on all the orders you place in December. The thing is, on your very first order, you’ll already get 25% off – so now you’ll get an extra 5% as well. There’s no long term commitment to signing up. If you want to get your Stampin’ Up! supplies for yourself at a 20% discount, this is the way to go! You can quit at any time – no strings attached and no questions asked!! If you want to sign up and work it as a business, you can do that as well! Call me if you’re interested and we can get you the discounts on great products!!
There are some classes coming up in the next few weeks for Christmas cards. The dates are Sunday, November 23 and Sunday, November 30 at 3:30 pm. Please register here for the classes. Get some new ideas to make some quick & easy cards for Christmas!!

“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
Well…so far we’ve been very fortunate that the ground is still clear. It was raining tonight – but still no snow. We heard that there’s about 4″ of snow at our cabin, but none here so far! That should make for a shorter winter – only about 5-6 months – instead of ‘forever’!!!
And speaking of snow and winter, have you seen the new Holiday Catalogue yet? As the name suggests, the Holiday Catalogue is filled with all sorts of goodies for the holidays…Halloween (although it’s not a holiday), Thanksgiving and, of course, Christmas – my favorite holiday. I realize that we’re about halfway through the timeframe for this catalogue – but WOW – there’s lot’s in it and you still have time to shop and make projects for Christmas!!
Here’s “a few of my favorite things”…
There’s a lot more that I like…I’ll post them later on! If you need a Holiday catalogue, just send me a quick email and I’ll get one to you!
The Real Red 3/8″ Satin Woven Ribbon (#135840 – Page 15) is a dream to work with. It’s one of the products we’ll be using on Saturday night in our Christmas Card class. If you haven’t registered for the class yet, be sure to do so. Click here to register online. If you want any of these products, you can shop online 24/7 by just clicking here.
I apologize for not getting this post out sooner…but over the weekend, someone hacked into my computer. And so, because of that, it had to go in to be cleaned up and fixed. I guess it was quite a mess! Hopefully, everything is working fine now.
I have a few projects in the works…they’ll probably be posted next week!
Thanks for stopping by!
Inky hugs & blessings…

Weekly Deals for November 4-10 are…
Well…it’s now the beginning of November – which means Christmas will soon be here! … And the snow!!
First of all…I want to say a big Thank You to Angel Elmer – she worked on my blog for me and got it fixed!! I’m always amazed at those people who know this technology and can make it work! I’m not one of them by any means…but I love papercrafting – making cards, boxes, etc – so I really appreciate the work Angel put into my blog for me!
Have you started your Christmas cards yet? Join us on Saturday, November 8 for the Christmas Card Club class. This is one of the Christmas cards we’ll be making – with new product from the Holiday Catalogue. Both cards are (almost) the same – just different colours!
Christmas Card – Tree Punch & Endless Wishes
I used the new Confetti Stars punch (#135861 – pg 30 Holiday Catalogue) and it’s amazing! I can punch out dozens of tiny stars at one time – and use them as decorations on the tree!! The sentiment is from the Endless Wishes stamp set (#136829 Photopolymer – pg 32 Holiday Catalogue). Lots of Christmas sentiments to use…and I love using the Photopolymer stamps. They make it easy to get everything lined up exactly where I want!
To register for the class, click here. Be sure to bring your basic stamping kit – paper snips, adhesives, paper trimmer, etc.
Take care…Thanks for stopping by!
Inky hugs & blessings…

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you.” Matthew 6:33
Do you have a bucket, bin or bag filled with scraps? I’m sure every paper crafter does. Just like a knitter has lots of leftover yarn, a seamstress has mountains of leftover fabric, we have a billion pieces of leftover paper! Some are too big to throw out and some are too small (so we think) to keep! So what to do with them?
There’s an “Oh, Scraps” class on Saturday, February 23 at 2:00 pm. Get some ideas on what to do with your scraps – and some tips on how and when to cut them!! Bring your own bin of scraps and start to use some of them up – or you can use mine! We’ll make some regular sized cards and some 3″ X 3″ cards.
Here’s 2 for starters…
These are just 2 of the 3″ x 3″ cards…notice how scraps have been used to make the focal point of the cards! Even the Melon Mambo flower under the button was cut from a scrap that was left after some punches or framelits had been used! NOTE…Both these cards were made from retired DSP and cardstock.
And this is just the beginning…it’s like a challenge to see what can be done with the scraps so that they don’t get thrown out! Be sure to register for this class and see what you can do with your gazillion scraps.
Remember…Sale-a-Bration is on and you don’t want to miss out on FREE! For every $60 order you place from the current catalogues, you can get a Sale-a-Bration item for free!
Thanks for stopping by!

“Those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.” Psalm 34:10
Remember the blog I wrote last summer about my luggage being sent to Halifax, while I was on my way to Stampin’ Up! Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah? Well, it started me thinking about having a kit of Thank You cards with me all the time!
So I’ve made up a kit of Thank You cards to carry around in a purse, in a briefcase or in a vehicle. Then, when a clerk in the store is exceptionally helpful (read about my experience here), or when you’re at a restaurant and the service is exceptionally great – or just when someone is exceptional – you’ve got a thank you card at your fingertips. Just sign it and hand it to them! What a great way to make someone’s day!
The case for the kit is made with one of the blank Clear Mount Stamp Cases (#119105 – page 7) that Stampin’ Up! sells. Then use whatever Designer Series paper you’re in the mood for as the cover and make matching Thank You cards with the notecard & envelope package (#107311 – page 160) in the 2012-2013 Annual Catalogue . Even the pen matches the set and is included with the kit! (I’ll show you how to make it match!)
The class for the Thank You card kit is tomorrow, Saturday – January 12 – at 2:00 pm. If you haven’t already registered for it, just go to my Calendar of Events, and click on the RSVP button. There’s still a few spaces left!
Have you seen the new 2013 Spring Catalogue? Watch for the 2013 Open House coming up…be sure to drop by to see what’s new and to get your copy of the 2013 Spring Class Schedule.
And…check out the price of gas…hear it’s been going down – instead of up! Hope that lasts for a while!!
Have a great weekend!
Inky hugs & blessings…Brenda
