Embossed & Embossed Again!

Here’s one of the cards we’re going to be making in the Tools & Techniques class tomorrow evening.

Double Embossing Card 001

It’s called Double Embossing.  The main part of the card is embossed on the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan embossing folder (#127751), then the Decorative Frames Oval (#123130) is embossed over it.  And by doing it a certain way, you won’t have the ‘fans’ showing through where the oval is.  Come to the class and I’ll show you how!  We’ll also be making an envelope for this card.  This envelope is made with a 6″ square of matching Designer Series Paper and has a belly band wrapped around it to keep it closed.   Since the card is only 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″, it can’t be mailed as it is through Canada Post, so the belly band works!  If you want to mail it, just put it into a larger envelope.  Notice the patterned paper and button?  They’re from Sale-a-Bration 2013 – the Sycamore Street Collection.   You can get them free with each $60 order

Go to my Calendar of Events to register!  I hope to see you tomorrow evening!

Don’t forget to register for the LifeWay Christian Academy Fundraiser on Friday & Saturday, March 15 & 16, 2013.  Another one of the projects that I’ll be teaching in a class is this Gift Card Holder.

Gift Card Holder 002

Are you one of those people who give gift cards for special occasions?  If you are, then make sure you sign up for this class.  This is one of the gift card holders we’ll be making.  And yes…it really is decorated for Christmas, but you can use any Designer Series Paper and any Stamp Set for any occasion.  I’ll show you how!

Enjoy the sunshine we’re getting today!  Shouldn’t be too many more weeks of this cold and snow!

Thanks for stopping by!

“Don’t panic.  I’m with you.  There’s no need to fear for I’m your God.  I’ll give you strength.  I’ll help you.  I’ll hold you steady and keep a firm grip on you.”   Isaiah 41:10

Oh Scraps!

Do you have a bucket, bin or bag filled with scraps?  I’m sure every paper crafter does.  Just like a knitter has lots of leftover yarn, a seamstress has mountains of leftover fabric, we have a billion pieces of leftover paper!  Some are too big to throw out and some are too small (so we think) to keep!  So what to do with them?

There’s an “Oh, Scraps”  class on Saturday, February 23 at 2:00 pm.  Get some ideas on what to do with your scraps – and some tips on how and when to cut them!!   Bring your own bin of scraps and start to use some of them up – or you can use mine!  We’ll make some regular sized cards and some 3″ X 3″ cards.

Here’s 2 for starters…

Oh Scraps class - 23 February 2013 001

These are just 2 of the 3″ x 3″ cards…notice how scraps have been used to make the focal point of the cards!  Even the Melon Mambo flower under the button was cut from a scrap that was left after some punches or framelits had been used!  NOTE…Both these cards were made from retired DSP and cardstock.

And this is just the beginning…it’s like a challenge to see what can be done with the scraps so that they don’t get thrown out!  Be sure to register for this class and see what you can do with your gazillion scraps.

Remember…Sale-a-Bration is on and you don’t want to miss out on FREE!  For every $60 order you place from the current catalogues, you can get a Sale-a-Bration item for free!

Thanks for stopping by!

b1_SAB_demo_Dec0112_ALL

Sale-a-Bration starts today – and ends on March 22, 2012!  It’s the BIGGEST event Stampin’ Up! has throughout the whole year!  Sale-a-Bration means exclusive FREE stamps, ribbons and accessories for you!

So “How do I get them FREE?” you ask!  Well…if you love to shop, for every $60 order you place (before S&H and taxes), you’ll get to pick an item from the Sale-a-Bration brochure  and it’s yours – FREE!  And it’s for EVERY $60 you order – so if your order is $120 – you’ll get 2 items, and if your order is $180 – you’ll get 3 items.  You get the picture…the bigger your order is, the more you get for FREE!

Have your friends over for a party…and get more FREE!…or stock up yourself!  When the total of your party sales (or your order) is $525 (before S&H and taxes), you’ll also get the bundle of Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper, the Ribbon and Button pack and the Madison Avenue stamp set (in your choice of Wood or Clear mount)!  But…that’s not all!  You’ll also qualify for the Hostess Benefits and get another $90 in free product and a Half-Price item!  But wait…there’s more!!  Because it’s the 25th Anniversary for Stampin’ Up!, as a Hostess with qualifying sales (or your qualifying order), you’ll also receive a package of Silver Glimmer paperFREE!  Now…how great is that!  All that for FREE!!

Want to party all the time?  With Sale-a-Bration and Stampin’ Up!’s 25th Anniversary, you’ll get 25% more in your starter kit when you join my team!  You don’t earn Sale-a-Bration gifts on the Starter Kit purchase, but you will on any more orders you place during Sale-a-Bration.  And you’ll get a discount every time you place an order when you’ve joined my team!

Here’s the Sale-a-Bration brochure!  Note…it’s a long, pull-out brochure – not a booklet!  So when it opens, scroll down and you’ll be able to see it all!  To see each item, just enlarge the page!

If you would like a “paper copy” of the Sale-a-Bration brochure, and if you don’t have a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, give me a call or email me requesting one and I’ll be happy to get one to you!

Watch later on in the week as I post projects using Sale-a-Bration items…papers, stamp sets, ribbons, the embossing folder, the punch!  Great ideas to help you decide what you want to get!

Have a great day stamping!
